Denise Aguiarโ€ฏAlvarez, a director of Brazilโ€™s Bancoโ€ฏBradesco, bought about 131,000 shares on Septemberโ€ฏ18,โ€ฏ2026, spending roughly $2.3โ€ฏmillion at $17.98 per share. The transaction was reported in a Formโ€ฏ4 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and was executed entirely through direct ownership, with no indirect holdings or derivatives disclosed.

The purchase comes after a year in which Bradescoโ€™s stock returned about 5โ€ฏpercent, a modest gain that may have prompted the insider to increase her stake. Over the trailing twelve months the bank reported revenue of 341.3โ€ฏbillion reais and net income of 24.3โ€ฏbillion reais, underscoring its solid earnings base. At the time of the filing the bankโ€™s shares were trading at $3.52, well below the $17.98 price paid by Alvarez, suggesting the transaction may have involved a different share class or a preโ€‘arranged price.

After the deal Alvarezโ€™s direct holding rose to roughly 6.0โ€ฏmillion shares, valued at about $20.6โ€ฏmillion based on the Septemberโ€ฏ21 market close. Bradescoโ€™s market capitalization stands at $37.2โ€ฏbillion, making it one of Brazilโ€™s largest financial institutions with more than 80,000 employees. The directorโ€™s purchase did not include any other share classes or interests held through trusts or limitedโ€‘liability entities.

Analysts will watch whether this insider buying signals confidence in Bradescoโ€™s outlook. The move could sway investor sentiment, especially if the price gap between the purchase and the market price is explained by a special transaction or a different share class. If Alvarez continues to add to her position, it may reinforce a bullish case for the bank, but the discrepancy also raises questions that investors will want clarified in future disclosures.
