Last week, Bayern Munich was linked to Newcastle United outside-back Lewis Hall and Sport Bild journo Christian Falk indicated that he had not heard much about that pursuit.
Falk did, however, offer some insight on the left back position and offered up a really odd nugget — Bayern Munich might be “hoping” for a huge offer from Saudi Arabia on Alphonso Davies:
To be honest, Lewis Hall’s name is not one I’ve heard yet in connection with Bayern Munich. What I can say is that it’s true Bayern Munich are searching for left-backs. As I’ve mentioned already with Bisseck, however, it’s dependent on the club selling a player – in this case, it would be Hiroki Ito . The Japanese defender has a price tag of €20m [£17.3m]. FC Bayern are still hoping to get a really huge offer from Saudi Arabia for Alphonso Davies. Then they’d have to think about that as well! But if they can’t sell Davies or Ito, they won’t be bringing in another player, which would mean bad news for Lewis Hall, and the same for Joško Gvardiol (who can play at left-back and centre-back). I think Bayern are testing the market to see if they can make something happen, but they have to sell a defender first.
In addition to that information, Bayern Munich was also linked to Eintracht Frankfurt left-back and Germany international Nathaniel Brown .
Is Bayern Munich really looking to offload Davies? Reports have indicated that the Bavarians are unsure that they can continue to trust Davies because of his injuries, but it does seem like it is way too early to cut him loose, eh?
According to this report, Bayern Munich would be open to selling Harry Kane for €80 million and FC Barcelona might be ready to make it happen:
Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is emerging as a viable alternative for Barcelona if a move for Atlético Madrid ’s Julián Álvarez falls through, as reported by Sport. A €65 million release clause in the England international’s contract has run out, but Bayern would be open to starting negotiations at €80 million. The 32-year-old would reportedly be interested in a move to Camp Nou and there have been inquiries with his representatives after Robert Lewandowski left as a free agent this summer.
Bayern Munich has shown no signs of wanting to sell Kane, whose contract runs through the end of next season (2026/27), but there has been speculation about the Englishman’s lack of action on signing a contract extension with the Bavarians.
