Although we haven’t seen much of him, on the international stage he’s obviously very comfortable with what his tasks are for the Ivory Coast .
I don’t think he’s going to tear up any trees immediately, but he will play a big part in the side next season, I reckon. Either way, he appears to have got over his injury pretty well, and has hit the ground running upon his return.
There’s a gap voided by Bertrand Traoré to fill, and I hope he gets a good go at it!
He looks like a good young player from the small sample size we have of him, but of course more of that has been in his international performances.
The goals he’s scored aren’t scored by just any young player — he showed very good composure and quality with a number of those goals.
He’ll more than likely be a rotation player next season, but that’ll be crucial with four competitions to take part in. Hopefully we bring in a top right winger he can learn from and hone his game without the pressure of being a starting winger.
Everything pointed to him being a developmental signing, but I think it speaks volumes about how the club and Régis Le Bris feel about him that he got a start at the first opportunity after signing.
