Transfer Radar: Bayern Munich not in talks with Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté, Milan’s Rafael Leão

The season is over and summer transfer rumors have begun swirling as to who Bayern Munich is going to look to bring in the replace the outbound Leon Goretzka , Nicolas Jackson and Raphaël. Of course, there’s still other players that could wind up getting sold this summer, but having already lost out on Anthony Gordon choosing to move to Barcelona from Newcastle United instead of Bayern, there’s added impetus for the German Rekordmeister to do the right business this summer.

In addition to Gordon, Herthe Berlin youngster Kennet Eichhorn has emerged as one of Bayern’s top transfer targets, but there’s now a bevy of other clubs across Europe trying to get him as well. They’ll face a stiff battle to try to land the promising midfielder, so they have to keep their options open elsewhere.

There have been loose links connecting Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté and AC Milan’s Rafael Leão to potential moves to Bayern this summer, but per Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg (via @iMiaSanMia ), there have not been any talks with the French center back, nor are they interested in considering a move for Leão right now. Even before the Arne Slot sacking announcement was made official, it was reported that Konaté was looking to leave Merseyside and the managerial staff upheaval following AC Milan failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League have left question marks next to Leão’s future at the club. The Portuguese winger’s contract with Milan currently runs through June 2028, so Milan will know they’re in a crucial window where they could probably get the most for him if they were to sell him this summer and Manchester United are reportedly interested in trying to sign him, per BBC Sport .

Nonetheless, Bayern have maintained their priorities for this summer are getting a Harry Kane backup, another winger, and possibly a defensive reinforcement. There’s plenty of time to make different moves in the transfer market and player’s values can go in either direction based off of their World Cup performances, but Bayern will certainly want to avoid losing out in another transfer race like they did with Gordon and Barcelona.
