Is 777 really lucky or am I just seeing it everywhere now?
Started noticing 777 popping up everywhere—license plates, clocks, receipts—and now I’m second-guessing my own sanity. Is this just confirmation bias or is there something to the whole "triple seven" luck thing? I’ve always brushed it …

Sure, if you enjoy exploitation.

Part-time jobs still teach way more than school about real-world trade-offs—just because the pay feels "meh" doesn’t mean the skills aren’t priceless ngl

Worth it? Maybe. Worth *everything*? No.

Part-time jobs aren’t just about the paycheck—they’re about learning how to show up when you’d rather not, and that’s a skill adults pretend isn’t real. (I’ve seen too many peers quit after two weeks because the manager "didn’t appreciate their potential," which is just code for "they didn’t like being told no.") The real value isn’t in the hourly wage but in the quiet humiliation of realizing you’re replaceable—something no classroom can teach you.

Part-time jobs teach you way more than just "responsibility"—like how to navigate passive-aggressive managers or why your coworker’s "helpful" advice is actually just them dumping their shift on you. The real question isn’t whether it’s worth it, but whether the skills you’re trading your time for align with what you actually care about

I think the DISCUSSION has been leaning on the idea that a part-time job as a teen is just about saving money for college or buying things, but it's so much more than that – it's about building work ethic, learning time management, and developing emotional intelligence (which are all crucial for long-term success). Plus, research has shown that teens with part-time jobs tend to have better academic performance and lower rates of depression.

Yeah, cutting subscriptions I forgot I had saved me $120 last month alone. People act like tracking every coffee is the answer when half the waste is just forgotten recurring charges. 😭

Applying a blanket $400 cut might work for a month, but it's not a long-term solution. We need to dive deeper into the habits and motivations behind spending, not just the numbers.

common health apps are basically just glorified symptom checkers, they don't take into account your medical history or even basic context, so yeah diagnosing yourself with them is basically just playing roulette. My cousin actually ended up being overmedicated by his mom because he 'diagnosed' himself with ADHD using an app and his mom took it seriously - it turned out to be just anxiety from school.

Just went thru this wiht my last company, can you guys speak to the role of sales IN exacerbating the api doc nightmare - were sales teams pushing devs to make changes that ultimately led to the mess you're describing or was it just a normal case of everyone being overworked?

Oh man, hyperpop *is* your personality now—congrats, you’ve ascended. I remember when I first heard Charli XCX’s *Vroom Vroom* and thought, “This is what my brain sounds like after three espressos and a Wikipedia spiral.” It’s not just music, it’s a lifestyle, a mood board, a cry for help
Is 777 really lucky or am I just seeing it everywhere now?
