Quran reader: sources and credits
The Quran reader is built by AZRS Corp. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of the organisations below. We are grateful to the people who make this material available.
Arabic text and Mushaf layout
Uthmani text from Tanzil.net. The 15-line Madinah page and line layout comes from the quran-text dataset by quran.ws (CC BY 4.0). Hizb, Juz, Manzil and Sajdah positions follow the standard Madinah Mushaf divisions.
Font
KFGQPC Uthmanic Hafs, by the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex, Madinah. Amiri Quran, Scheherazade New and Noto Naskh Arabic are open-licence fonts (SIL OFL).
Translations, transliteration and tafsir
Translations are provided through Tanzil.net and the open alquran.cloud service, with each translator credited in the reader. Urdu translation and transliteration: The Noble Quran Encyclopedia (quranenc.com) via the open quran-json dataset (CC BY 4.0).
Recitation audio
Verse-by-verse recitations are served from EveryAyah.com. Where word-by-word highlighting is shown, the audio and word timings are provided by the official Quran Foundation API: Quran data provided by Quran Foundation. Each reciter is named in the reciter list. All recitations remain the property of the reciters and their publishers.
Text-to-speech
English translation read-aloud uses the open-source Kokoro text-to-speech model (Apache 2.0).
